Interview with our AFF student Alex.
This week we come back with another interview from our AFF student Alex. He found us online last year, because he was searching for an AFF school during winter. He knew why he was there and for sure he knew what his goal is. Alex was motivated, nevertheless he was enjoying his every jump.
Because everything came kinda easy for him, we had to work more on setting limits and standards rather then free fall skills. Here you have him one year later, a passionate skydiver, with over 50 jumps and motivated to become an instructor.
Last name: Cornel-Alexandru
–Why did you decide to start practicing this sport?
After i did my first tandem skydive, it struck me. I said to myself that this is my sport.
–Why did you choose the AFF type of course?
The AFF course is the easiest way to become a skydiver.
–Why did you choose the FlyNfriends team?
I chose FlyNfriends because they are the only team doing AFF courses in December in a nice worm area.
–What were your expectations prior to the beginning of the course? Were they realistic?
I wanted to become a skydiver, and it happened.
–What was the most satisfying moment during your AFF course?
The first solo jump i did.
–What about the most unpleasant moment?
That moment when i misrouted my chest strap. That was really unpleasant, but also important, because i learned from it. Check your gear, check your gear. I wanna use this interview to say thanks to my instructor Mache.
–How do you feel now about skydiving? Has your perspective about this sport changed?
Now it became the most pleasant activity. the fear faded away, and i am left with a nice feeling, that i cannot find words to describe it.
–What’s your next step? Do you wish to continue?
For sure i wanna work in the field as an instructor.
–How did you feel about this active holiday that includes a skydiving course?
It was so cooool, i actually took some extra days off from my work to stay there.
–Would you recommend this course to your friends? Why?
Of course, this sport is full with adrenaline.
Will you participate in the following events? Why?
Yes, i would like to join FlyNfriends again. Nice experience, and i met a lot of nice new people.
