Flo

My name is Florin Crăciun aka Flo and I’m 29 years old. My first contact with this sport was in 2005, when I started the static line course with the Romanian Airclub. In 2010 I decided to invest more time in this sport, so I gave up my other activities (rope access, climbing and packing) and I got a fulltime job in this field. A year later I managed to get my ratings: coach, AFF and tandem instructor. Starting with 2012 I was a part time chief instructor and load organizer.

2014 was the year I started travelling more, so I am currently working in various places: Bahrain, Empuriabrava, Sevilla, Voss, Brento.

I have more than 6000 jumps so far, including BASE jumps and wingsuit jumps, but the overall feeling is that I just started to understand and enjoy this amazing sport.

Among the things I enjoy are:canopy relative work, wingsuit, XRW, BASE, wingsuit BASE, swimming, climbing, hiking.

My name is Andrei Machedon, I’m 30 years old and I was born in Breaza, a small town at the foothills of the Bucegi Mountains, where I have also graduated highschool.

I continued my studies at the Transilvania University in Brasov, Faculty of Physical Education and Sport, which I have graduated from in 2008. After finishing college I worked for 4 years for the Ministry of National Defense as a paratrooper. In order to continue my skydiving career, I moved to Germany where I’ve been working as a skydiving instructor for 3 years now.

Like every true passion, everything has started when I was a small child. From a very young age I knew that’s what I had to do. My father worked in the military, as a skydiver as well and my uncle was a pilot. Moreover, growing up with stories about being up in the air and being present to all king of events linked to this activity, I don’t even think I was the one making the choice, I think that somehow flying chose me. Thus, when I turned 16 years old, I signed up or a skydiving course with the Romanian Skydiving Club and as I was expecting, after the first jump I knew what was the road I was going to take. The emotions of being in a plane for the first time were huge but so was the satisfaction. The feeling could hardly be explained in simple words, but you can compare it with loving someone with all your heart. You get to a point when only that specific moment matters, nothing else is more important that the feeling you’re experiencing. It’s like tunnel vision in motion.

Fortunately, I’m experiencing this feeling every single time I jump, even though I have more than 3100 jumps.

My career had a slow start since the jumps were sponsored by the state, and because of that, the results and the evolution were a little bit hard to achieve. In 2008 I started participating in the National Skydiving Championship finishing on the third place and on the second place the next year. Moving forward, in 2010 I managed to finish the National Military Championship on the second place. In 2011, competing as a part of the Special Forces Accuracy Landing Team, we finished on the first place. The most recent achievement was the participation at the German National Championship 2 way relative work, which I’ve finished on the sixth place.

The profession that I have now, skydiving instructor and the love for this beautiful sport, made me think more about giving further the knowledge that I’ve gathered so far and about making new people practicing this sport and teaching them its secrets. So, together with another skydiver and friend, Crăciun Florin, we founded a Skydiving school in March 2014. Our goal is to offer professional skydiving courses in Romanian, English, German and Spanish for initiation in this sport and improving flying skills for the ones that already got their license.

Besides skydiving, I really enjoy other kinds of sports too. Skiing would be the one which I like the most, therefore I became a skiing instructor. Among other passions I can count hiking, and if it would end with a jump from a cliff that would be perfect, since BASE jumping is one other hobby of mine.
